wherein Liz thinks about various projects
Sep. 12th, 2014 10:22 pmI have now posted all my non-Apartment Manager AU Naruto fic to AO3. Go me!
I don't want to post the Apartment Manager sidefics until I've posted the existing chapters of "Guardian," because I would like "Guardian" to directly follow "Apartment Manager" in that series... and I don't want to start posting "Guardian" until I have a new chapter written. (This is the same reason I haven't crossposted "The Courting Dance" yet, just FYI.) So I'm going to keep sitting on that for a while.
*frowns thoughtfully at to-do list*
I should get back to work on the art for the next section of "Trollstuck," come to think of it. I have a pencil, I have references, and I have explicitly told people not to expect decent quality pictures from me, so what is holding me up? Nothing but inertia!
Well, okay, and some uncertainty about how to deal with images now that I have a different computer so scans won't dump directly into the program I'm used to manipulating, which was an HP photo editor. I think at the moment the only art program I have is MS Paint, which is... not helpful for correcting stuff like fuzzy scans.
Hmm. I specifically got a GIMP "our program is awesome and here are some tricks!!!" magazine as one of my weekly freebies earlier this year, and I think, maybe... yeah, it has a CD included. So yeah, I will see what I can do with that.
In the meantime, I still have a pencil. :-)
-----
ETA, 11:45pm: Okay, the pencil sketch has gone from "vague outline" to "okay, now I just need to trace this over in ink and erase the scribbly stuff." Or maybe I will stick with colored pencils? You know, I think I am in a colored pencil mood. I will do that tomorrow.
And then, back to the full-page watercolor project! *evil laughter*
(This section has a lot of art, because of Reasons.)

Date: 2014-09-13 04:21 pm (UTC)All I really need at the moment is a way to tidy up rough spots on scanned traditional art. I don't have the tools to do computer-only art -- drawing with a mouse is the next best thing to impossible, and drawing with a finger on a touchscreen is hardly any better!
