It is not a happy scenario for anyone. (Not even for Rabadash, long-term, since Susan does her best to subvert their children away from his own ideology, and then of course the poisoning.)
Daystar comes off a bit stuffy in "Talking To Dragons," but I think a year or three of living IN the Enchanted Forest rather than on its edges, and also being around Mendanbar day-in and day-out, would moderate his courtesies into something more comfortable for everyday use. (Cimorene has a very STRONG personality, and I think went a little overboard in making sure her son didn't turn out like the various overly-entitled princes she's known. *cough*Therandil*cough*)
