stuff done: Thursday-Friday

edenfalling1. Cooked a batch of veggie sidedish. Dumped the resulting compost into the communal bin (which someone else had helpfully dragged back from the curb after the compost service came by and emptied it).
2. Did a bunch of Not the IRS paid skills training. I still have six or seven hours to go (and then another three or four in December once another module is released), but any progress is good progress.
3. Worked a full day at the valley office as a receptionist (and knocked out another portion of my continuing education requirements during slow periods). It is nice to get a chance to refamiliarize myself with office routines and programs before January.
4. Paid my monthly credit card bills.
5. Received an invitation to a memorial dinner for a family friend who died earlier this fall. I am not sure whether I can attend -- I'd need to catch a bus down to NJ, and arrange to miss the subsequent day at the rental office to account for the return trip. These are not insurmountable issues, and I would like to attend, but eh. I think I'll talk to a few people about some stuff before I make any final decisions. (I deleted my Not the IRS availability for the day in question, though, just in case.)
