Liz's insane holiday schedule

edenfallingThursday, 12/22: pack, family arrives 9:15pm, begin driving west
Friday, 12/23: continue driving west to Chicago (motels are for wimps!), arrive 9-ish in the morning, check into hotel, sleep until 3pm, go have dinner w/ Aunt Cara and Grandma Doris, watch strange rented documentary on migratory birds
Saturday, 12/24: do Christmas at Aunt Cara's
Sunday, 12/25: get up at 5am (or earlier, my god), pack minivan, pick up Grandma Doris, drive to Des Moines, deliver Grandma Doris and presents to Uncle Bill & Aunt Carol, drive north to St. Paul, Christmas dinner w/ Ardis
Monday, 12/26: do family stuff w/ Ardis
Tuesday, 12/27: breakfast w/ Ardis, pack, drive east to New Jersey
Wednesday, 12/28: arrive in New Jersey early morning (again, motels are for wimps, and it's only 22 hours or so of straight driving), unpack, crash
Thursday, 12/29: theoretically work for Pat, write gift stories
Friday, 12/30: work for Pat, write like a mad thing
Saturday, 12/31: work for Pat, write, possibly attend Susan's family's New Year's Eve party
Sunday, 1/1: possibly attend church, pack, drive home to Ithaca
Monday, 1/2: the return of sanity!
Aunt Cara's browser is so old that it won't let me read my email -- I can open Hotmail and see that I have messages, but I can't open or delete the messages themselves. Ardis's browser is even older. So if I don't answer your comments until Wednesday, that's why. :-)

Date: 2005-12-26 09:49 pm (UTC)(The driving thing only works because we have four family members with drivers' licenses, so we can have one driving, one keeping the driver awake, and two sleeping at any given point. It's still kind of nuts, but it does work. We've done it before!)
