Monday afternoon I came home to New Jersey for winter break. Then I slept for about fourteen hours -- I hadn't realized how tired I really was until I tried to get up at a reasonable hour on Tuesday and utterly failed to convince my body to do so.
Today Vicky and I decorated the Christmas tree. We have a small one this year, sitting on the coffee table so we don't have to rearrange the living room furniture. This is particularly sensible since we're driving to Iowa for Christmas itself. The Culmer family is gathering at my grandmother's -- with the probable exception of Uncle Charles and his family, since they're always a little unreliable about family gatherings.
And now Vicky and I are going to watch Pirates of the Carribbean, since I was silly enough not to see it in theaters this summer. Am not paying any attention to my writing, as I'm having too much fun just being home and relaxing. Also, I am catching up on all the non-fiction I meant to read during the semester but didn't have time for. I do love history books!
