the mysterious barking man
Jan. 25th, 2006 01:31 pmI am in the library. Behind me is this guy -- maybe in his late thirties -- who keeps sniffing, clearing his throat, and then barking. I think it's meant to be a cough, but he honest-to-god sounds exactly like a dog barking.
Twice now I've offered him a tissue, and he keeps saying he's just fine. Then he sniffles some more and barks again.
It's really loud, too; people all over the room turn and look to see who on earth is barking in the library.
...
I wonder why he won't admit that something's wrong.

Date: 2006-01-25 06:52 pm (UTC)On a totally different topic, I worked some on "Finding Marea" over the past few days, but Larachine's story came out very awkwardly, and I need to tear it up and try again. I can do storytelling (Ifira) and I can do politicized anger (Somae), but apparently I'm no good at mysticism. *sigh* (Um, and your card came today and I kind of opened it and read it, because I wasn't expecting birthday stuff yet! *is sheepish*)
