I solved a problem! *giggles evilly*

*rubs hands gleefully*
I have figured out why "Undertow" wasn't gelling. I was telling it from the wrong POV -- it must be told by the icky guy who gets assassinated, not by Sakura. That way I can show instead of tell, and I can avoid the evil flashbacks that kept plaguing the false starts.
Plus, it will amuse me to see how obvious I can make Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto's plan without ever actually letting the victim in on it. I'm quite proud of their plan, since it took me two days to come up with it. Cunning plans are not my strong point as a writer; I'm much more of an interior monologue person.
...
Still, I should probably work on "Apartment Manager" first. *bashes head against stupid dinner party scene, which refuses to let her go on until she fixes it*
