Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] alchymie

The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!
Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
LevelScore
Purgatory (Repenting Believers)Low
Level 1 - Limbo (Virtuous Non-Believers)Very High
Level 2 (Lustful)Low
Level 3 (Gluttonous)Moderate
Level 4 (Prodigal and Avaricious)Very Low
Level 5 (Wrathful and Gloomy)Low
Level 6 - The City of Dis (Heretics)Moderate
Level 7 (Violent)Moderate
Level 8- the Malebolge (Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers)Moderate
Level 9 - Cocytus (Treacherous)Very Low

Take the Dante's Inferno Test

Since I am A) a reasonably decent person and B) not Christian, these results are not particularly surprising.

But the point is to aim for the lower levels! =P

No, no! The lowest levels of Dante's Hell are cooooold.

(Granted, my first introduction to Dante's Hell was through Niven and Pournelle, but I still like their description of Limbo more than any other.)

Huh. I first ran across that one a year or two ago, and got Level 5. Just retook it, and got Level 6.

...I think I'm gonna blame the Republicans. Hard to believe in God when there hasn't been any smiting of certain fuckwads.

Hmm. *goes back through test again*

-Don't attend church (anyone's)

-Disbelieve in God (not strictly true, although most people would probably say that considering 'him' utterly irrelevant is actually worse)

-Science is the best truth we've got

-'Lord's name in vain', well, what do you expect in the USA's cultural background noise?

-Don't read scripture (refer to belief in God)

-Don't expect an afterlife

-Pagan religious beliefs (not many of them, and too muddled together to really describe, but there non-the-less)

-'God' does not make all things possible

-Religion is fiction (philosophy admits it's guessing...)

-Fasting doesn't prove a bloody thing

...Hm. If I didn't know exactly why I'd given the answers I did, I'd probably be so very disturbed that I also got 'High' in four other categories. ^_^; But, as it is, I'm just sort of amused at how many of the questions were either vast oversimplifications or making moral judgements I disagree with - and most of the rest were things that I truly believe that no more than one person in ten could honestly answer differently.

Overall, surprisingly interesting.

Every time I've ever taken this, I've gotten Level 6.
