On a totally different topic from my previous post (well, kind of; it's still fanfic-related)...

Last year I wrote 31 Harry/Ginny/Draco ficlets of varying length for

thirtyforthree. They do actually all fit together, into a story that I call "Fixation, and Other Stories." I would like to post them as a unit.

But.

They need editing.

See, I ended up with an arrangement of 12 chapters and a epilogue. Each odd-numbered chapter contains two ficlets on what I call the main sequence, or "Fixation." The even-numbered chapters each contain three ficlets clustered in various thematic groupings -- the "Other Stories" part of the title.

All of the component ficlets have been posted over on

thirtyforthree, but in most cases I edited them in the process of stringing them together into a coherent whole. Some of the edits are fairly drastic, and I have been working on the pieces for long enough that I have no perspective left to judge them. Also, the pieces have never been Brit-picked, so there are probably some really stupid Americanisms floating around.

The pieces vary from humorous crack to bleak dystopia, and from nearly gen to mildly explicit, touching most points in between on both scales. I'm not sure that all the tones and themes play nicely together, and I'd appreciate advice on that front as well.

My usual beta readers are both busy at this time, and are already editing chapter 11 of "Secrets" for me anyway. I don't want to bother them with another, larger, project.

Is anyone willing to beta-read "Fixation, and Other Stories" for me? I can send it out in attachments, and I don't need it back for a couple weeks.
