Dracula's Castle For Sale

The way I heard the story, when I visited Bran Castle back in 1997, Vlad the Impaler never actually set foot inside the place. He did besiege it twice, though.

Of course, I got this verbally from some ethnic Hungarians who took a dim view of Romanian folk heroes (which Vlad the Impaler is, for fighting the Turks), so perhaps the man did make it inside the castle at some point.

I dunno. It's pretty folkloric either way.

In work-related news, DW has now finked out of two shifts without giving proper notice (or any notice at all in the second incident). Since he's still in his probationary period, this is kind of a big thing and, in my opinion, could justify firing him. The trouble is that he's the son of a friend of our owner, so firing him could be... awkward.

I'm working an extra four hours tomorrow morning as part of a schedule reshuffle that should hopefully help PM (the manager) get things worked out one way or another. *crosses fingers*
