winter weather
Dec. 3rd, 2007 07:05 pmSo far, this December is acting much more like proper winter than last December ever managed. Last year the annual ice sculptures set out around the Commons had to be wrapped in insulated cardboard because it was over 60 degrees Fahrenheit on December 6th. Then they melted flat in one day.
This year, we've already had four inches or so of snow, and the temperature isn't expected to rise past about 35 degrees for the rest of the week. (Also, we may get more snow.)
I admit that it was pleasant to walk around in only a light jacket last year, but the current cold is much more psychologically reassuring. :-)
