For something like a month now, writing has been like wading through hip-deep sludge -- I could do it if I forced myself, but it hardly seemed worth the trouble.

Tonight I sat down and wrote 1,100 words about Detective Anna Ramirez. No pain. No struggle.

It was like flying.

(Of course, I'm nowhere near the halfway point of that story, let alone the end, but still. After weeks of 0 to 300 words a day, with a mean of about 30 if I was lucky, this is glorious. *beams*)
