rental car rigmarole, part 2
Nov. 28th, 2008 04:37 pmI'm back in Ithaca.
Thanksgiving was good. Seeing Susan was good, too. So was the drive back north.
The trouble didn't start until I'd returned the car. See, I had to take it back to Avis at the airport, and that's way too far out of town for me to walk home. But I figured it wouldn't be a problem; I'd just take the #31 bus.
Apparently the 31 doesn't run the day after Thanksgiving. One of the biggest travel days in the year, and TCAT doesn't think it's important to take people to or from the airport.
*headdesk*
Two Cornell students were also waiting, so after we got the information from TCAT, we went in and jointly called a taxi. Which costs $16.00 each. Argh.
But I got back into town, picked up and deposited my paycheck, and have now finished unpacking, so it's all good.
