Two Guys and a Girl: Table of Contents

When Tifa Lockheart meets Zack and Cloud Strife outside Nibelheim, she's only expecting a minor break in the routine of a small mountain village. She gets much more than that. A story about friendship, secrets, growing up, and the birth of one girl's social conscience.

(This story is set in the

mercverse FF7 AU, which was created by

icedark_elf as an open participation shared universe with only minimal canon. I took that as an opportunity to create reams of backstory leading up to the scenario she gave as 'present-day' canon, and, because this is a crack AU, I couldn't resist the chance to bend, staple, and otherwise mutilate normal game canon regarding trips to Nibelheim, because seriously, what's the point of crack AUs if you can't play around like this?)

Chapter 1: in which Tifa Lockheart meets Zack and Cloud Strife, two peculiar visitors who are staying in the abandoned Shinra mansion

Chapter 2: in which they explore the mansion and discover a dark secret

Chapter 3: in which they discuss what to do about the murdered demons, and Tifa and Zack vow friendship

Chapter 4: in which Tifa argues with her father and they cremate the demons

Chapter 5: in which Cloud teases Tifa and Zack and they walk into town for dinner

Chapter 6: in which Tifa introduces her father to the Strifes and sneaks out at night

Chapter 7: in which Tifa explores the mansion in the dark

Chapter 8: in which Tifa has a conversation with Lady Shinra's ghost and discovers Cloud's secrets

Chapter 9: in which Tifa is awkward over breakfast, they bury the demons' ashes, and Tifa and Zack decide to change the world

Chapter 10: in which Tifa argues with her father again, Cloud reveals his secrets, and Tifa steps out onto the road to adulthood
