stuff done: Tuesday-Sunday
May. 14th, 2017 09:35 pm1. Put away the remaining laundry.
2. Backed up my hard drive.
3. Made an appointment to give blood this coming Thursday.
4. Recharged my bus pass. (By which I mean, I purchased an additional 30 rides to add to my account. Weirdly, I seem not to have been charged for the rides I purchased around the start of April? The TCAT website was glitching heavily that day, and while the 'add rides to this card' part of the transaction went through, the 'charge this credit card via PayPal' part seems to have gotten lost in one of the glitches. I feel like I should do something about this, but I'm not entirely sure HOW, not to mention, an extra forty dollars in my pocket IS very nice... *fights with conscience*)
5. Did some research for the ICSD school board election/budget vote on Tuesday the 16th. Everything seems pretty straightforward except one issue I couldn't get information one, which has something to do with property rights and sewer maintenance near one of the district elementary schools.
6. Opened a gift box from my mom and sorted its contents.
7. Put my vegetables out for the afternoon on Thursday and Friday. Alas, Meeny the squash has died! I think I may have overwatered it; I was definitely overwatering the peppers a little, though they have survived my unfortunate ministrations. I want to put them in their adult pots tomorrow, where they will have more resources to withstand my occasional failures as a caretaker.
8. Bought groceries.
9. Cut my fingernails and toenails.
10. Got up early Sunday morning to bake brownies -- I would normally do that Saturday night, but I felt really flattened by the universe Thursday through Saturday, and when I got home from work I just ate dinner and basically fell into bed at 8pm, after calculating when I'd need to get up in order to get the brownies baked in time for church. I then did so, and have felt MUCH less existentially squished today.
11. Boiled a bunch of eggs.
12. Facilitated youth group, which in this case meant watching a bunch of YouTube videos with the one member who showed up, and discussing some options for over the summer and for next fall and winter. (Which reminds me that I need to email the DRE about that stuff. *makes note on Monday's to-do list*)
13. Coffee hour cleanup. I was working alone for most of the time -- my co-volunteer was a no-show -- but another church member pitched in toward the end, which was very nice of her. I also stole a bunch of used coffee grounds, since apparently they make really good fertilizer/soil additives for garden plants, particularly in combination with the eggshells I've been saving for the past week or two. :)
14. Paid the four monthly bills for which I write physical checks: two credit cards, my health insurance, and my rent.
15. Arranged times to call Cat and Susan this coming week. Attempted to do the same with Vicky, but she has not yet texted me back. Perhaps tomorrow!
16. Changed linens.
17. Submitted my WIP Big Bang snippets.
18. Checked 2D movie times for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which I would like to see tomorrow. (I'd wanted to see it Thursday or Friday, but see above in re: the universe squashing me flat.) I think 1:15 or 3:10pm sound most promising.
19. And this is true for all the days in question: I plonked at a few bits of fiction to no particular effect. *sigh* I will keep trying tomorrow.
