After some sleep, the 'aimless twaddle' I mentioned writing for a prompt response looked a lot less awful and more usable than I remembered. *wry* So I kept plonking away during slow periods at work, and I now have a functional rough draft of nearly 1,000 words. I mean, I still need to tweak it to add some sensory details and highlight the themes and stuff, but hey. Beginning, middle, end: all there. Boom. :)
