Like seriously, I spent as much time unraveling terrible sentences as I did translating legalese into either English or math, and there is no universe in which I should be able to truthfully make that statement.

The remaining 10 percent did, in fact, require some knowledge of cancellation of debt income in order to determine the correct meaning of a garbled sentence, but even that wouldn't have taken more than a second hour of work. Two hours to fix it! Only two hours! And they just... didn't. They let that course out into the world to be the face of their teaching competence (or lack thereof), in that state of utter mess, and called it a job well done.
