I am crowdsourcing a Christmas present, because I am a deeply indecisive person.

So my friend Susan asked for a Captain America t-shirt, and I have found three potential candidates:

1. generic shield variation

2. comic panels variation

3. fancy patterns variation

I am leaning a little toward the fancy patterns variation, because it's both cool and pretty. Unfortunately that one only comes in two colors -- black or navy blue -- and I think the image pops best on the black background. The thing is, the last shirt I gave Susan was also black, and I'd like to switch that up a little, which is why I've picked baby blue as the color for the other two options. So does cool pattern outweigh pretty color, or vice versa? And if pretty color wins, do I go with the slightly larger shield with random comic panels, or the smaller plain shield?

It's a hard choice!

Anyway, thoughts?

I like 2 and 3 about equally, but some of that is that my husband and daughter both have 1 in navy. I don't think option 1 looks good in the version hanging on the end of the bed where I'm currently sitting. So bias.

Does your friend have any preferences in what she wears color-wise? Some people look better in black or navy than in powder blue (or think they do). I generally like darker colors for outside the house because, if I'm out and drip food on them, it doesn't show so terribly on the bus ride home.

Hee! I was going to say that about dripping food but I thought it would make me look bad.

You can never have too many black T-shirts, IMHO. They go with more things than navy blue. Go with the best pattern. I find the ornate shield the prettiest (that's what it's called on the diagram).

All black things match. It's in the name: "black". (So I decree, anyway.)

I like the simplicity of the classic pattern, personally! #3 would be my second choice. :D
