I added some words to the Enchanted Forest prompt ficlet, but I increasingly suspect the reason it's been stalling me so hard is that I am writing the wrong story. Or no, the base concept/premise is fine. I just picked a drastically wrong starting point. All the stuff I've been struggling to write should be relegated to two or three sentences of backstory and the actual ficlet should focus on the situation that the backstory leads to.

Anyway, while I'm turning that over (and finding a new starting point/structure), I also added some words to another stalled WIP, which can be summed up as "five times Matt Murdock let himself enjoy soft things, and one time he shared with someone else." I currently have three of six sections written, but I'm a little vague on what to do for the remaining ones -- particularly since I started noodling at this pre-Defenders and I'm not sure whether to set the final scene before or after that series.

*makes face*

In non-writing walks of life, I went to Target and spent too much money on a new umbrella (to replace my various partially-broken ones), three new bras (to replace old and/or small ones), two new shirts, and another copy of the super-comfy cardigan that I bought around Christmas.

I also got a haircut, finished a mandatory paid training session on the new tax law (in summary: everything is even more complicated than before and wow, this is job security for years), set up to pay my bills and cook a batch of veggie sidedish tomorrow (I am much more likely to complete tasks if I split the setup into a separate task and do that a day or two beforehand), and bleached/scrubbed my shower curtain since it had gotten mildewed at the bottom.

All in all, a productive day. :)
