I had my check-in appointment with the scholarship program adviser this morning, which went well. (We figured out where we knew each other from, and thus resolved the vague "I'm fairly sure I recognize that face, but from what context???" itch that had been bugging us both. Turns out she used to work upstairs from the smoke shop so I sold her coffee in the morning for several years!) Next week we're going to do a phone interview since as an online student, it's kind of silly for me to take a bus all the way out to TC3 just for a half-hour appointment.

But I bought some highlighters and a green pen, so it's all good. :)

I took a nap after lunch, and then headed in to Not the IRS, where I did tax returns for three clients and also finished and filed my own return. (I love getting documents online; it is SO MUCH FASTER than waiting for paper copies in the mail.) My federal return has already been accepted, so yay!

I was extremely unproductive on Sunday because on Saturday I made the probably unwise life choice of drinking a Black Russian because I had been very productive over the preceding week and I wanted to A) unwind and B) reward myself. So of course I spent Sunday feeling a bit like I'd been run over by a truck made of sofa cushions -- not sore, really, just very, very draggy and brain-fogged.

(...totally worth it, though. Just not remotely something to do either regularly or on a day before I have serious responsibilities to take care of.)

I was still tired today, but just in a normal not-quite-enough-sleep way, and since I will be heading to bed within half an hour, I should be both alert and well-slept tomorrow. :)

I hope the rest of the semester goes well! I'm glad you'll have the option for checking in without trekking all the way out there.

Don't fret about the beta read. I'm writing other things so that I can go back to the Sky High story without losing track of where I am in it (or figure out why I'm confused when I do lose track).
