1. Rental company update: Miss Cactus moved to the downtown office after all, so I've been covering most of her shifts while Aunt Boss and Mom Boss work on hiring new staff. Which is nice in terms of overtime pay and all, but kind of tiring and also awkward given my dogsitting situation.

2. Also I kind of backed myself into a time crunch on my last Anthro assignment, because I asked two separate people if I could interview them -- one didn't respond for a while, which is why I asked the other -- and now I'm stuck interviewing the second person tonight instead of writing up my impressions from the first interview, because it would be socially awkward to say, "I know you cleared your schedule specifically for this, but actually I don't need to talk to you after all, bye!" *sigh* Well, at least I'll have plenty of material?

(It turns out the interviews have to be done in-person, which is why I have not contacted anyone via the internet.)

3. Also also, today is Slope Day. UGH. So many drunk college students...

Thanks! The first interview (yesterday evening) went well, and I have my questions all planned for tonight's interview, so fingers crossed. :)

1: That's sad that Miss Cactus is leaving. I hope the new staff will be good to work with. The overtime pay is definitely nice, and I hope things aren't too chaotic on the dogsitting side.

2: Good luck with the assignment/interviews. It makes sense that they need to be in person.

3: I have never heard of Slope Day. I hope it went by without too many issues.

1. The dogsitting is going pretty well!

2. I turned the assignment in last night. :)

3. Slope Day is Cornell's annual end-of-school-year party, which has had varying levels of official oversight through the decades. Its current iteration involves live music on Libe Slope, a small fun-fair on West Campus, and a lot of alcohol.
