wherein Liz is very tired
May. 27th, 2018 10:45 pmThe annoying thing about catching up on sleep after not getting enough for several days in a row is that my body is like, "Oh hey! Sleep! I remember that -- give me more," and I basically spend a few days feeling incredibly sluggish and sludgy.
Which is a long way of saying that I spent a good portion of today doing nothing much, and then took a nap.
I mean, I also changed my linens, turned my mattress, and swapped out my winter comforter for my summer blanket -- I cleverly stripped the bed when I got up and then had to remake it in order to take the nap, you see -- and after the nap I boiled a dozen eggs, baked six chicken thighs, started a batch of veggie sidedish, emptied the resulting compost into the backyard bin, and washed a bunch of dishes... and also read some more sections of the story I am attempting to beta for
the_rck, but I meant to do several additional tasks that fell by the wayside, and I still feel incredibly sluggish.
Ah well. Time to go wash the remaining dishes and check on the veggie sidedish. I think if I turn up the heat on the slow cooker, it should be finished around 11:30, and then I can fall into bed again.
