Things I meant to do today: various and sundry.
Things I did instead of all that: pruned the back yard trees and shrubbery and did the first weeding pass-through on the garden patch (all the big/tall stuff), after which I put a gigantic bag of yard waste out for city collection. They may not actually be picking up this week -- I have a vague feeling they do yard waste on opposite weeks to recycling collection -- but whatever, it's bagged, it's tagged, it's not my problem anymore.
My back and shoulders are going to be so sore tomorrow.
...
Also I went to the Ithaca Festival where I walked around, listened to some music, ate lunch, and bought a cool pair of earrings. So that was nice. :)

Date: 2018-06-04 09:34 pm (UTC)Have you thought about making your own compost? Put all the trimmings/yard waste into a pile out the back somewhere and basically let it rot? It may not be a viable option where you are (you may have no space, or no inclination) but since I've started making my own compost, my yard waste bin goes out empty. (Now I just have to persuade the neighbours to give me their lawn clippings...)
