I have a terrible feeling that I may have norovirus. I was amazingly, absurdly tired yesterday evening, to the point where I went to bed at 9:30pm and then slept for twelve hours. And I was still so tired this afternoon that I took a two and a half hour nap.

I have also had diarrhea all day, persistent discomfort/gurgling in my intestines, a nagging headache, and occasional flashes of what feels like mild fever.

Fortunately, I still had several anti-nausea pills left over from my recent fight with kidney stones, so I have taken one of those along with a pain pill and it is nearly miraculous how much less unstable my gut now feels. I am also a little floaty, though whether that's general exhaustion, a side-effect of the painkiller, or a combination of both, I couldn't say.

I'm going to head to bed early again tonight and hope I am feeling better in the morning. If not, well, I have more ondansetron. I can get through work and let the evening take care of itself.

OH NO. I'm so sorry. You probably already know this but if not, norovirus is super-super contagious so be careful. This could also be food poisoning of some sort. If you've eaten out anywhere or been in a public place with lots of other people, you may want to report it to the local health department. Take a hard look at what is in your fridge, too. Certain produce can cause illness (bacteria on rind fruits), sprouts, plus things like under cooked chicken. Many things. your doctor can run lab work against common microbeasties that make you sick. Drink lots of fluids and rest and I hope you feel better soon. This SUCKS.
