I am trying to think of a household chore I dislike more than vacuuming, and I'm not really coming up with one.

Ugh.

Mopping. Because you have to vacuum first, and even so, you end up with lots of little muddy/sloppy bits, and a wet floor.

I've never vacuumed before mopping, whether wet-mopping or using a dry dust-mop. Does it help enough to be worth the annoyance?

I don't know how much better it is, but I do vacuum before, because I figure it reduces the muddy-sloppy bits.
