Since TCAT rearranged the bus schedules last weekend, the "9pm" #30 bus actually leaves the mall at 8:58pm, which means I have to duck out of Not the IRS at 8:55pm in order to catch it outside the grocery store. (It used to leave at 9:03pm, which was much more reasonable.) I forgot about that tonight, so I missed that bus and had to wait for the "9:30pm" bus -- actually now the 9:28pm bus, because fuck TCAT -- which meant I not only got downtown half an hour late, the bus then went out of service instead of turning into a #17 and continuing within a couple blocks of my house.

If you get a bus driver who feels like being kind, they will often let you ride that way even though they're out of service, because they are going exactly the same route, but tonight's driver was grumpy and tired and just kicked everyone out. So then I had to walk a mile from the Commons to my house, and didn't get home until nearly 10:30pm...

...whereupon I discovered that, because it was a freakishly warm day, all the snow on the porch roof had slid off and buried the front steps. *headdesk* So I spent a good 10-15 minutes shoveling out that heavy, icy-slushy mess, so I'll be able to get out of the house in the morning.

I have to get up at 6:30am, by the way, in order to walk into town for an 8am doctor's appointment, after which I will catch a bus up to Collegetown and go to work from as close to 9am as possible until 7pm.

What even is my life.

ETA: Oh, by the way, I finished updating all my fic directory posts today. I still need to update my Narnian timeline post, but that is a problem for future!Liz.

Ugh, that all sounds awful. I hope yesterday was better for you! I spent a ridiculous amount of time on Wednesday shoveling heavy, icy, plowed snow out of my driveway when I got home. I feel you!

I'm glad you had a better day! We've had ridiculous amounts of snow and rain here, too. I love snow when it is falling, and hate cleaning it up - but I would still rather live with it than live without it, so . . . . accepting both the loveliness and the cleanup that comes with it, I guess? :)
