Today was basically all packages all the time, with a small break for paperwork and another small break to show a prospective tenant and their parents around the common/public areas of two of our buildings. But I got some reading done in between package onslaughts (I'm currently working through Wheel of the Infinite by Martha Wells) and even managed to write about 350 words for my embarrassingly belated FTH fic!
Unfortunately I dislike most of what I wrote and may well end up cutting it in favor of a transition directly from point A to point E of the scene in question. I mean, these new words are not inherently terrible and are sort of useful from a character interaction perspective? But I can do most of that just as well in the conversation that's the actual point of the scene, and I feel like if I commit to trudging through points B, C, and D here, that means I'll have to keep on slogging through every transitional moment later on, and ye gods and little fishes, that sounds hideously unappealing to write (or to read, probably).
Anyway, tomorrow I plan to get up about an hour early so as to have time to A) cut my nails while they're all nice and malleable right out of the shower, and B) hopefully get a haircut before catching my bus up the hill to work.
Now I am going to eat a donut for dessert and fall into bed. Mmm, chocolate. Mmm, sleep. :)
