where Liz requests cooking advice
Feb. 22nd, 2019 10:35 pmOn March 2nd, I am going to an evening wine-tasting event (six whites, six reds) to which I purchased tickets at my church's service auction this fall. I have to bring a tapas-style appetizer to share with the group.
This appetizer is going to have to be prepared the night before -- or possibly the morning of, if I get up a bit early -- and then survive being carted to work plus a full day (10am-6pm) in the office, where we only have a mini-fridge and a small microwave to store and reheat food.
Does anyone have recommendations for something relatively simple to make that will A) stand up to those conditions and B) taste good with wine?
(I mean, I can always just bring a cheese and cracker assortment, but that seems a bit like cheating...)

But any kind of savory cookie/cracker/grissini you can make would be an excellent complement, would be very easy to prepare, and would travel and keep well.
