1. I have a phone date with Nick tomorrow night (after work and errands), and a phone date with Cat Sunday evening when she gets off from her job.

2. My errands for tomorrow are basically to head out to Target and buy a large bag of potting soil, and possibly also some pots or plastic storage bins I can repurpose into pots, because I don't currently have enough to hold both my carrots (assuming they survive transplanting) and my tomatoes. I mean, I am ultimately not sure what I'm going to do with the tomatoes? I am allergic to them when they're raw and think they taste kind of gross anyway, and I think most tomato sauce is also kind of gross. I suppose I could buy bacon and indulge in a lot of homemade BLTs instead of buying them from Jimmy Johns? But I suspect I will be giving a lot of them away.

(For those wondering how I eat BLTs when I'm allergic to raw tomatoes, there is this wonderful medication known as Benadryl. *angelic smile* This is also how I get through sushi that contains avocado and/or cucumber, which is unfortunately quite a lot of sushi options. And sometimes I eat strawberries, because life is too short to deny myself all the pleasures that my dumbass body has decided are poisons in disguise. I have not worked up the nerve to try raw cherries or peaches, though, since pitted fruits (and apples) are my strongest allergy triggers. This is a shame since I used to adore cherries and peaches. *wistful yearning*)

3. Writing is of the devil and I want this ficlet to just BE DONE ALREADY. I may just plow through the rest in "and then, and then, and then" style if only to figure out WHERE IT WANTS TO GO, and then tidy it up after the fact. *sigh*

4. I will try to make a gardening update post this weekend. Until then, a brief summary: A) I planted carrot seeds last week(ish) and they've sprouted; B) I planted Brussels sprouts yesterday and obvious they have not sprouted yet; C) I'm going to plant the tomato seeds tomorrow. Also I harvested a tiny pepper tonight and saved its seeds for use next year.

5. Spring pollen allergy season has started, blargh. For me, this has thus far manifested as moderately itchy/dry eyes, which is annoying but manageable. (Eyedrops are lovely.) I am not looking forward to May when I will start sneezing out of nowhere. :(

And now I am going to bed, because I stayed up too late last night and the night before, and am currently pleasantly floaty from sleep debt. *wry*

Wow, that list of allergens is staggeringly unfair. I cannot blame you for the Benadryl.
