Today. Has been. A DAY.

*flops exhaustedly over the keyboard*

This is the time of year when we make and distribute move-out information packets, which is a GIANT PAIN IN THE NECK. And also in the back. Specifically my back. Because I'm the one who has to go slide them under apartment doors in all the buildings that don't have mail rooms. ARGH.

Also people are suddenly realizing the school year is just about over and are all rushing at once to finalize summer sublets and rent parking spaces for the fall. Plus the June 1st quarterly rent payments are coming due, so there's that mess as well.

In short, it's just been one damn thing after another all day long, and tomorrow will be more of the same but I will be on my own without backup. *sigh*

Ah well, I've survived this crunch before and I will survive it again. And it will pass. All things do. :)

Oh ugh, that sounds awful. *prescribes tea and alcohol*

Fortunately, I have brownies and ice cream to comfort me. :) And the nice thing about working alone is that nobody's there to give me disapproving looks if I decide to take a full hour break to write or read fic. (I mean, so long as I keep answering the phone and dealing with people who walk in the door. Those do take precedence. But if I'm slow about answering emails? Whatever!)

I completely understand. We're in the last 2 weeks of school for me, and I am definitely feeling the stress, especially because my 8th graders asked me to be their graduation speaker, and I have done basically nothing in preparing for that (along with everything else graduation related).

The most frustrating part, I think, is that we emailed all the tenants to say "Here is where to find your move-out information packets! They will answer all your frequently asked questions!" and since then at least a dozen have walked in or called us to ask basic questions about move-out that are clearly answered in the packets, and been like "...there are move-out packets??? WHERE???"
