phone calls, work, and food
May. 25th, 2019 08:08 pmThings done today:
1. Arranged phone calls with Nick, Cat, and Susan for this coming week. \o/
2. Worked 10am-6pm at the rental company office. This was mostly a slow day, punctuated by occasional "oh god where did so many people come from all at once???" moments. Also a bunch of tenants asking questions that made it clear they hadn't found their move-out information packets, even though we sent them all an email in big capital letters saying "YOUR MOVE-OUT INFORMATION PACKETS ARE IN YOUR MAILBOXES." *sigh*
Anyway, I wanted to get the new parking permits ready, but while I did successfully get all the plastic hanging tags stripped of their protective coating and removed from their big sheets-of-nine, and I changed the dates on the label master file and verified that the towing company phone number is still accurate, I ran out of time to actually print the labels, let alone apply them to all the plastic tags. *deeper sigh*
Ah well, I guess that's Tuesday's task. Aside from processing all the keys and address forms that will presumably have been shoved through the drop-slot over the Memorial Day weekend.
3. Baked brownies for church tomorrow morning! Also oven-roasted some zucchini spears and baked some store-bought breaded fish patties for my dinner. Apparently fish-and-zucchini is still Food for me, which is nice because it's super-simple to make and also relatively light on carbs. I lean toward a carb-heavy diet -- you will pry bread products from my cold, dead hands and not one moment sooner -- but I figure this is a relatively painless way to counter that tendency a little. *wry*
4. Took resulting compost out to the communal backyard bin.
5. Did NOT have a phone chat with Arthur W. from church, even though he's the one who asked for it and I told him when I'd be available this evening. I mean, he might still call in the next half hour, but I'm not holding my breath. I guess I'll just try to find him during coffee hour tomorrow and see what he wanted to talk about. (This is about my Board of Trustees candidacy, FYI.)
And that's pretty much it. :)
