I have just had the most wonderful and awful potential idea for my NFE assignment! :DDD

Or rather, I have just thought of a wonderful and awful scenario. Now I need a plot. Plots are always trickier than scenarios, because scenarios are just "wouldn't it be cool if [thing] were the case?" whereas plots require people to want and do things in a vaguely coherent fashion.

So. Assuming that [wonderful and awful scenario] is the case, what should [redacted characters] be trying to do...?
