This is move-in weekend for a massive percentage of Cornell students, and today was therefore a BUSY DAY (TM) at the rental office. Aunt Boss was in from about 11:30am to 3:00pm, and Mom Boss from about 1:00pm to 5:30pm to help me and Miss California handle all the people coming in to pick up keys, make maintenance requests, and ask questions that range from "this was clearly marked on the information sheet we gave you along with your keys... *sigh*" to "okay, that's a legit puzzler; let me look into it."

I spent a significant portion of the day running off to various places on various errands, since I was the one without a stable desk -- normally I use Mom Boss's computer on Saturdays, but when she and Aunt Boss were both there I had no desk, and then I was at Aunt Boss's desk from 3pm onward. So I ran late arrival key packets up to the concierge desk at our fanciest apartment building (since the concierge is open later than the rental office, and also open on Sundays which the office is emphatically NOT), ran large packages to the apartments of tenants who had not yet arrived since we were running out of space, showed people how to find various things in various buildings, and so on and so forth.

Meanwhile Aunt Boss caught up on entering maintenance requests from returned move-in inspection forms, Mom Boss caught up on a bunch of data sorting for our company owner, and Miss California worked on scanning the inspection forms as Aunt Boss finished processing them. And of course we all signed out A LOT OF KEYS. Argh.

Tonight I am going to finish a tiny 2-credit-hour tax course on how to handle people involved in the gig and sharing economy, and then fall into bed because I am TIRED.
