Today at work:

It was quiet for about fifteen minutes after I opened, and then everything proceeded to happen at once: three phone calls, several people needing to pick up packages, and a group trying to rent a 6-bedroom apartment and pay almost entirely in $20 bills. *headdesk* (And the one who didn't pay in cash did an online direct debit payment, which required me to set him up in our tenant portal.)

Of course as soon as Mom Boss arrived, we were back to dead air for twenty minutes.

That was kind of how the day went: periods where I had nothing to do so I surfed the internet for a while, and periods where I was trying to do two to five things simultaneously.

But we rented five apartments, which is good, and the other office stuff is ticking along as it should. I am eyeing the growing stack of lease folders with some trepidation, but as of yet they're not ready for me and Miss California to start processing, so.

Tomorrow is Deluge of Minor Chores Day, so my plan is to turn in around 9pm and try to catch up on sleep. :)

I had to count out nearly five thousand dollars in twenties! FIVE THOUSAND. And then write five separate receipts, one for each tenant.
