a quiet and productive day

1. Chopped and froze my latest vegetable harvest.
2. Took kitchen compost to the communal backyard bin.
3. Walked to the Commons in an attempt to restock on Kahlua (since I've used up a bunch making brownies for church in the past several weeks -- adding some instant coffee and a splash of Kahlua to box mix really kicks up the chocolate flavor!) but alas, my usual liquor store only had the dinky 375ml bottles and that's not really cost effective. I will try another liquor store Thursday or Friday.
4. Put away the rest of my clean laundry, which included finding safety pins for my six new pairs of black socks. I also found drawer space for my new underwear, and will begin throwing out the stretched/holey old pairs one by one as I identify them.
5. Repaired another pair of comfy black jeans that had developed holes in the inner thighs. I think I should put some stitches around the edges of the iron-on patches on both pairs of jeans, just for extra security. I am not entirely sure I trust the glue to hold on its own (just as I don't trust stitches to hold on their own without some glue keeping the center of the patch steady).
6. Bought groceries.
7. Rescheduled next week's dentist appointment from 9am to 12 noon, at the dentist's request.
8. Finished a small oneshot that had been hanging in my WIP list since... I dunno, late 2012 or early 2013-ish? Sometime during my first year in Homestuck fandom, anyway. I have set it aside to let my brain reset for a bit, but I'll try to do the final edits Thursday or Friday and throw it up online.
9. Called my parents to catch up on general stuff.
10. Wrote and mailed a check to pay off the balance of my 2019-20 fiscal year church pledge.

That is not all of what I wanted to get done, but it's about 90% of my to-do list, so. A productive day. :)
