As I recall, my score was 36. That's including the 5 point bonus for saying where I found it. *sigh*

The really sad thing about my life is that I had practically NO exposure to popular culture (by which I mean music and any TV other than PBS) until I was 10, ie 1992. And then it still took until I was about 15 before I really knew anything more than the most superficial things about it. (Though I did listen to an awful lot of country while I was 13-14, mostly because my friend Cat did and I carpooled with her.)

So for me not to know much about 80s music? Not surprising at all. The only pop/rock songs I knew before high school boil down mostly to "Thriller," "Beat It," and something by Nirvana; I can't tell you which, because I couldn't understand the lyrics through Cobain's screaming. Oh, and I also knew some old Beatles and Beach Boys tunes, and possibly some early Elvis.

Anyway. U2 I know because I like them. Sting I know because Cat's obsessed with him, and I don't dislike him. Anything else I know comes from listening to the radio over the past five years, not living through it!
