I am very bored at work, so have another tiny installment in Edmund and Ginny Go to Harfang. :)

Wild Honey

The honeycomb gleamed pale greenish-gold as Edmund withdrew it from the tree-bound hive and brushed off a handful of bright blue bees, still sleeping peacefully under Ginny's charm.

"Is it safe to eat?" Ginny asked, her voice unexpectedly close to Edmund's ear. "I mean, green's not the usual color, is it? And I know some honey is poisonous, if the bees make it from certain plants."

"I'm game if you are," Edmund said, and snapped the comb in half. As Ginny sniffed her portion warily, he brought his newly free fingers to his lips and tasted sweetness when she smiled.
