daily update, Saturday Jan. 25
Jan. 25th, 2020 08:58 pmThings done today:
1. Very nearly missed my bus to work in the morning, because wintry mix was pouring from the sky and I had to walk more slowly than normal in order to keep my footing on slick sidewalks. :(
2. Rental company office, 10am-1pm. I made sure our online adds are up to date and responded to a few emails; other than that it was very slow on account of weather. I still feel a little bad for leaving Miss California there all alone for the rest of the afternoon.
3. Attended the semi-annual Board/Staff retreat at my minister's house, for which I brought the roast vegetables and the brownies I baked on Tuesday. It was a productive meeting, and the potluck lunch was good.
4. Wrote 100 words of the prompt!fic for
the_rck. Still inching my way up to the fight scene. Or I guess I may technically have started the fight scene? I mean, we're definitely in the "people have been knocked to the floor and other people are threatening to rip open their throats" portion of the event, but nobody's spilled any blood yet and this is very much the tension-before-rapid-violence phase, so. Beginnings are kind of ambiguous, aren't they?
5. Received my 1095-A (aka my health insurance documentation, which I need to calculate stuff about the advance premium tax credit). This was the last tax document I was waiting for, so I can probably finish my own taxes tomorrow during my Not the IRS work shift. There's no particular reason not to, so far as I can see.
6. Menstruation is a tool of the patriarchy. *wry*
And now to bed.
