ugh, colds

I woke up this morning feeling like roadkill, but figured I'd see if it got better after a shower.
It... sort of did? Though I think now that might have been residual adrenaline, because my hot water ran out about two minutes into my shower so I finished very quickly. By the time I made it to the bus, I was about asleep on my feet and that just kept getting worse.
Also my voice is thoroughly shot and my ears are clogged/crackling and I ache all over and the headache is back. Ugh.
So I asked if I could leave early and Mom Boss told me to just go home.
Fortuitously, this lined up with bus schedules such that I was able to catch a #31 that was running late and which then turned into a #13 and dropped me off right in my neighborhood -- very helpful, because I literally fell asleep on the bus for a couple minutes.
Now I have eaten lunch (with the heat cranked up high and wrapped in my big fluffy robe) and am going to brush my teeth and collapse into bed.
Hopefully things will look better in the evening.

Date: 2020-02-29 12:28 am (UTC)On the one hand, it's certainly nice to be able to breathe through my nose at least half the time! On the other, it's hard to explain to people that yes, I am ill and about to collapse at my desk, when I have hardly any visible or audible symptoms.
