evening update, Wednesday March 11

1. I did indeed spend the afternoon and evening doing nothing in particular at Not the IRS -- although I did field one mystery shopper call, which I think went fairly well. I guess we'll see when my boss gets the call rating report.
2. Read a bit of Expelling the Poor.
3. And-thenned my way through the remainder of the fight scene setup in the Narnia/Naruto crossover, but knocked off just as the violence was finally about to break out. Current total is 5,307 words, which will fluctuate when I eventually go back and turn present-tense "and then, and then, and then" stuff into more coherent past-tense prose. (Not only do I jump tenses when and-thenning, I also drop in little notes to myself along the lines of "this prop will be useful for [Thing] later on" or "Tsunade does such-and-such for thus-and-so reason, but I'm unsure if Character A notices that" which will obviously have to get yanked out of the actual narrative text -- though possibly turned into actual narrative text later on when [Thing] arrives or Tsunade's reasoning is made clear!)
4. Made a quick run into Tops to buy some hard cider and then caught the 8:07pm #30 bus into town, after which I walked home.
5. Dumped compost into the communal bin, which has at this point been sitting on the curb not getting picked up for over six weeks. I texted Landlord Dude about that on Monday and he said he's called the compost company yet again but they're kind of flaky so who knows when anything will happen on that front. *sigh*
6. Finished putting away my clean laundry from Sunday.
7. Started doing some hand-sewn repairs on a pair of black pants, but left off when my dinner was ready.
And now I am eating my dinner, and I will shortly go to sleep. :)
