This one gacked from Anne U (whose lj contains too many numbers that I can't remember offhand):
All HP/BtVS people can stop reading here:
Have been downloading and reading Naruto manga. (This is tenuously legal since I don't save them; I consider it equivalent to library books.) Man, I can't believe I've already finished 15 volumes (not all in one day! sheesh!) and they're still not done with the chuunin exams. To be fair, a war interrupted and battles take a lot of space to draw (much more than to write, since you have to show all the action instead of just summarizing), and it's all very interesting, but still!
...There are obviously downsides to reading source material after being exposed to stuff via fanfiction. You keep waiting for the good bits to come, and you miss some of the impacts since you already know a bunch of spoilers. Then again, I've never minded much about spoilers anyway...
*shrug* Eh, I flip ahead and read the last chapters of books before I reach the middle. I don't think I have much right to complain here, especially since it's my own fault. :-)
