1. Today was another slow-ish day at work, but I expect it will pick up again soon -- at least in terms of busywork, because we have to put together another set of key transfer envelopes, this time for move-in rather than move-out.
2. Yesterday I mailed a card to my cousin Michael and a postcard to my brother, and today I mailed a postcard to my parents. (The opening paragraph turned into doggerel rhyme, what even.)
3. I wrote ~600 words of the Doctor Who/Magnus Archives crossover, which is now just over 6,000 words and I have finally revealed who/what is behind the killer mannequins in this fusion universe. Now I just need to work out a good way for Rose and Jon to deal with that threat and make it out alive. (I probably also need to trim some of the material, since I was kind of writing in circles for a bit while I tried to figure out what exactly the Stranger was up to, and I think a fair bit of my current text is filler when what I actually need is to be winding the tension tighter and tighter until it snaps.)
4. I made my first monthly payment for my new health insurance plan.
5. I listened to "Curiosity," aka episode 167 of the Magnus Archives, which is... I mean, it was always obvious this story wasn't going to have a happy ending, but we're just hanging narrative anvils right and left now, waiting for them to crash down. Also, I'm glad to finally get more concrete backstory on Gertrude's assistants and some hints about the history of the Archives and the Institute (and ways to survive quitting).
I'd really like to catch up with Basira, Daisy, Melanie, and Georgie, though.
And now, I think, bedtime. :)
