This morning I got an email from Mom Boss informing me that Company Owner and Ms. Art Appreciation have now fixed on our website as the source of all our rental woes this year (as opposed to, you know, Covid-19, or the shifting focus toward having more bathrooms per apartment, or lack of upgrades in our older units), so whatever my plans were for the day, they were now cancelled in favor of making sure that all currently unrented units have shiny new staged photos, and if they didn't, please supply an explanation why not.
So I said, essentially, okay! I was already working on that, but I will do that harder and faster! Which started with unstaging some parts of a 3-bedroom apartment (rather than unstaging the whole thing, which was part of my original plan for the day) and using those materials to stage a studio that had fallen through my list of apartments-to-stage because I was unaware that it was turned over and ready to go. Then I spent most of my day fighting various programs to edit photos, pick the best ones, upload them to the program that supplies our website back-end, and get them attached and labeled correctly. *sigh*
I also said that the reason I hadn't done anything about the two South Hill properties was that there weren't any relevant photos in the shared office drive. So Ms. Rise-and-Shine came down with the company iPhone around 5pm, whereupon I was able to download all the photos. I did not download all the videos, which I retroactively think was a mistake because now I have no reference point for which apartments most of the pictures belong to, because neither Lawyer Man nor Mr. Geniality thought to start a photo series with a picture of the apartment's front door/number plate, nor to snap bedroom number photos before taking pictures of each bedroom in multiple-occupancy units (both of which have always been standard practice in Collegetown for precisely this reason, argh). I will have to either download all the videos and watch them for reference, or have Ms. Rise-and-Shine and Mr. Geniality look through the photos and sort them into apartment-specific folders. *deeper sigh*
My plan for tomorrow is basically A) finish un-staging the 3-bedroom apartment and the 2-bedroom apartment that are currently partially staged, B) use some of those materials to stage a 3-bedroom apartment in a different building that is FINALLY turned over, C) photograph that apartment, D) handle any tours, E) answer emails and phone calls, and F) continue editing and uploading photos until I have another building complete.
