Mr. Geniality, my downtown counterpart, is on a much-deserved vacation this week. Which is wonderful for him! But it does mean I am trying to do two people's work with one person's time and energy, and also pick up some of the scattered tasks he left half-finished behind him.

I have gotten some of those squared away, but I have to chase down people about some other issues tomorrow, and then continue to stay on top of new inquiries and such. Mom Boss also wants me to generate a moderately complicated spreadsheet, which would be fairly simple (at least the main portions) if the downtown office used FileMaker instead of Rent Manager (FileMaker exports fairly easily to Excel; Rent Manager... does not, and let's leave it at that rather than get into my various rants about that program) but as it stands will be a massive pain in the neck. I didn't have time to even get started on that today, which is frustrating because in addition to being a moderately complicated spreadsheet, it is also an important spreadsheet and we need it complete sooner rather than later. *sigh*

Hopefully I won't be running back and forth between offices as much on Thursday, and will be able to knock out all the basic stuff by 2pm so I can spend the remainder of the day fighting spreadsheets in the peace and quiet of my own office with nobody around to interrupt. Aside from the phone and my email inbox, of course. But, you know, nobody looking over my shoulder and wandering around the office and such.

*crosses fingers*

And now, I think, to bed.
