a tired update
Dec. 4th, 2020 02:22 pmWhoops, been a few days!
Anyway, I woke up yesterday and just absolutely Could Not Even. I felt utterly drained both physically and mentally/emotionally, so I called in sick and went directly back to bed.
I'm still not sure what that was about, but I am feeling better today (still kind of washed out and exhausted, but functional) so I'm back at work. I have also scheduled a Covid-19 test for Sunday morning, to be on the safe side.
I plan to get a haircut tomorrow before work, which is really more just going in and saying to my hair guy, "I am growing my hair out, but as you can see the back is currently a disaster and makes me look like I have a very sad mullet. Please lop all that mess off and even everything out." On a related note, I have ordered some pretty hair clips from Etsy to help keep the front/side bits out of my face, since they are not yet quite long enough to tuck behind my ears.
The aphids have returned to my peppers (and eggplant) with a vengeance. I think I will definitely chuck out most of the plants once I harvest the peppers, and start over anew in March. I cannot face dealing with the same aphids for a third year in a row.
I got four hours of paid internal training for Not the IRS. There's also supposed to be a "live" training session tomorrow afternoon, but I have explicit permission to pretend I went and just take the test. So I guess I will do that tonight.
I also have to pull together a Board of Trustees meeting agenda tonight and send it to the rest of EXCO (executive committee; our naming pattern is so imaginative). That will be fun.
Mostly I just want to sleep for a week.
