A brief summary of my day:
1. Work. Made some progress on a few things, am running in place on some others, and had an active setback on another. *makes weighing gesture* Eh, on balance I'd call it a good day.
2. Health. I peeled my butterfly bandages off last night (they had gone sticky and gross and came off readily, which is a good sign that it was time. I have begun applying a lot of deep moisturizing hand lotions to the scar -- not something I had to purchase specially, since I have chronic problems with dry skin and keep a lot of fancy lotions around. I have also clipped off a bunch of dead skin with my little nail clippers, since it had gotten itchy and was gunking up my massage efforts.
I am continuing the stretches I got from the orthopedics office at random times during the day, and I think they are helping.
3. Church. Meeting scheduling woes continue, and we have also received some additional complicating news (one piece at the Wednesday night meeting, and one piece via email this morning). So, you know, the sucking morass of argh continues to be a sucking morass of argh. :(
And now I am going to bed because I am inexplicably exhausted, though I've been getting reasonable amounts of sleep all week. Maybe it's just stress? Whatever, I am pretty sure hitting the sack at 9pm is a significant part of the solution.
Tomorrow should be a relatively slow day, and then I think on Sunday I actually have a whole day off -- not something that's happened for a while! (Surgery day doesn't count.) I am looking forward to sleeping late and determinedly doing nothing (except laundry, blargh) all afternoon. :)

Date: 2021-03-20 04:36 pm (UTC)It's funny, but the delay in my moving plans has made me much firmer in my desire for a change. Instead of being sort of like, "It would be nice to move to the Twin Cities to be closer to Nick and the cabin! But I will miss Ithaca, oh dear, and moving is so awkward and I hate job hunting and apartment hunting..." I am now more like, "I WILL BE MOVING TO MINNESOTA IN 2022, OR ELSE. Yes, it will be a pain and I will miss Ithaca, but IT IS TIME TO GO." It's nice to feel more solid in my decision, you know?
