Monday in work and books
Nov. 15th, 2021 10:20 pmThings done today:
1. Sent several hundred rent reminder emails -- but alas! I was unable to get through the whole list and left some for Miss California.
2. A bunch of general office maintenance stuff, including but not limited to: replying to inquiries, acknowledging receipt of documents, notifying tenants that NYSEG has notified us they're not paying their electric bills and are they aware that this has consequences??, filing papers, processing rent payments, scanning in packages, signing out packages, etc.
3. Delivered free car wash gift certificates to parking tenants who were displaced during the recent parking lot repair/renovation work.
4. Returned two library books and checked out four more, namely Down Among the Sticks and Bones, Beneath the Sugar Sky, Come Tumbling Down, and In an Absent Dream, because when I find a series I like, I like to devour it fast. :)
I also put in a hold/loan request for Across the Green Grass Fields. I have also submitted a book suggestion for Where the Drowned Girls Go. I mean, given that TCPL has at least one copy of all 6 other books in the series, it is unlikely that they weren't already planning to purchase the 7th book, but it's useful to show interest and I get to put in an advance hold request as part of the process, so. *wry*
I have already finished Down Among the Sticks and Bones and Beneath the Sugar Sky, and started Come Tumbling Down -- as I said, I like to devour a new series fast, and these books go down quick and easy.
And now I think I shall have a small proteiny snack and go to bed, since I have a blood donation appointment scheduled for 11:00am. :D
