wherein Liz has more fun with MS Paint
Sep. 12th, 2022 09:33 pmThe Collegetown office continues to be very busy. Rentals are stringing out more than in pre-Covid years, which does relieve some of the initial pressure, but also means we continue to be very busy with lease commitments and delays Aunt Boss from writing and sending out the full lease packets for new and renewal leases.
Anyway, I wrangled several groups in search of apartments, updated some ads, emailed a couple dozen parking tenants to come pick up their permits already goddammit, sent "Hey, NYSEG told us that you're behind on your electric bill and you should probably fix that before they shut off your power" emails to a bunch of people, and started a new project of updating our parking lot diagrams/maps.
Some of the diagrams are basically fine, just a bit cluttered and cockeyed from generations of slightly wonky copying/reproductions. Others... well, I fixed the worst one first, because ye gods and little fishes, it was dire. It's still not remotely to scale, but my new version gives a much clearer picture of the surroundings and the layout, and removes some of the completely misleading elements of the old diagram, so I count it as a victory.
This project is somewhat for its own sake, but Aunt Boss and Mom Boss are also thinking of renumbering all the parking spaces so we don't have the confusion of trying to figure out which of three parking lots "space 27" might belong to. *wry*
At least my experience with creating downtown apartment floor plans continues to be of use???
