Today I sent out the "hold period is ending, please decide whether to renew your apartments" notifications. The hold period actually ended on Thursday the 1st, but because Mr. Geniality was on vacation I held off on the emails.
We have predictably received a flood of responses, some of which are "omg why are you springing this on me with no advance notice!"
My response to that is, roughly, "We notified you about your renewal options in early November, at which time you placed your apartment on hold. We told you at that time that we would contact you again at the start of February; today's message was that contact. You have had basically three months to think it over -- how much more advance notice do you want??"

Unrelatedly, this afternoon I remembered that I need to get a fasting blood draw before the test order my doctor sent to the outpatient lab expires. She wanted me to get a second round of tests six months after the August round, but because she sent the order in August, and they are only good for six months, I have a fairly tight window during which the order's active period and "six months after your previous tests" overlap. Probably I spent too much time thinking about how precisely to define "six months" and should have gotten this out of the way at the end of January, but eh.
Anyway, I think I will get the blood draw done on Wednesday morning. I decided against Tuesday morning because tonight I finally DID MY LAUNDRY and I rewarded myself for a successful task by having a snack. :) Tomorrow I will stop eating at 8pm.
