colds, writing, and playscripts
Feb. 21st, 2007 04:26 pmI have a cold. It includes the typical stuffy/runny nose, bone-deep tiredness, mild joint aches, slightly out of whack internal temperature regulation, and, oddly, sporadic coughing fits. I loathe coughing fits. (I once missed my own birthday party because, in an effort to stay out of school on a Monday, I exaggerated a mild cold by faking a nasty cough. Staged coughing irritated my throat to the point where the cough became real, and lingered for a couple weeks. I mention this as a cautionary tale, oh my Best Beloved readers; do not follow my foolish example! Heh.)
Anyway, I am sick. But I slept 11 hours last night, and 12 the night before, and will probably sleep another 10-12 hours tonight, so I have hopes that I will be healthy again in a few days. Sleep and fruit juice work wonders, you know. So does NyQuil. I love NyQuil.
In other news, chapter 10 of "Guardian" should be done by this weekend. *crosses fingers* And I have been reading Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, which... Um. Is... interesting, shall we say. And probably not best read at night, while slightly loopy on NyQuil, right before going to sleep. I would like to see it in live production someday, though, so let's leave it at that.
